The Presentation

For those participating in an online virtual PBL this will be your final test.  You must present your design to the panel on presentation day.  If you are having fun at home, try giving a presentation to your family or friends!

Presentation Tips:

  1. Be prepared!  Do some trial runs with no audience, or use your toys as an audience.  This gives you time to practice and get your presentation down before you have a real audience.
  2. Try giving your presentation to a small group of friends or other members of your group as the next step.  Gives you another chance to get your presentation perfect before you have an audience or strangers.
  3. This is a virtual presentation so you can sit down at a desk or stand up.  Whatever makes you FEEL good.  If you are going to show a model of your greenhouse make sure it can be seen easily on your screen.  Try it out before the presentation.  Try an online video call with a relative to learn how it works.
  4. Dress nice.  A professional presentation means you look good.  When you look good you feel good.  Make sure you like your outfit and it FEELS good on you.  Feeling good gives you confidence.  If your clothes distract you, itch or make you feel uncomfortable it will distract you from your presentation.
  5. RELAX.  Make sure you get a good nights sleep, eat a good breakfast and drink enough water.
  6. Your body can react funny to stress.  If you start to panic….STOP….TAKE A DEEP BREATH….continue when you’re ready.
  7. Remember to have fun.  This is a fun project with your ideas and NOT A TEST!!!  The experts and panel is there to help you learn and enjoy STEM.
