Mission Statement:
KidSpace Launch is a nonprofit corporation available to the general public and dedicated to teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and problem-based learning to children through interactive play and informal education programs, with the ultimate objective of inspiring children to pursue STEM career fields.
WHAT WE DO, AND HOPE TO DO!
Created during the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020 to help counteract the devastating emotional and financial impacts on children due to the shut downs of schools, museums and small businesses like ours. More than ever, there is a need for STEM education integrated into the lives of every child to help them see the possibilities of careers in the STEM fields, to help them learn more in a fun and active setting . KidSpace Launch strives to give all members of our community access to education and to bridge the gap for underfunded and underrepresented members of our community that do not have access to STEM resources.
PLANETARIUM/ STELLARIUM
WE BRING THE SHOW TO YOU. OUR PORTABLE PLANETARIUM IS INFLATABLE. SPACE EXPLORATION CAN COME TO YOUR SCHOOL, LIBRARY OR COMMUNITY CENTER.
SUMMER CAMPS/ STEM CAMPS
STEM LEARNING THROUGH ACTIVE PLAY. PUTTING HANDS ON STEM FUN BACK INTO CAMPS, ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS AND OUTREACH ACTIVITES.
TECHNOLOGY
PROVIDING ACCESS TO NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND EXPERIENCES FOR KIDS AND ADULTS IN A RAPIDLY CHANGING AND OVERLY EXPENSIVE MARKET.
ACCESSIBLE
BRIDGING THE GAP IN EDUCATION FOR UNDERSERVED AND UNDERFUNDED MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY THROUGH OUTREACH AND ONLINE OPPORTUNITIES.
